Fourth grade students will learn about key word searches this week. Students will practice identifying key words in a question. They will then compare the search results from searching the full question vs. searching only the key words they identified.

Fourth graders will learn how important it is to evaluate websites before using them as credible sources when researching.
Students will get a review lesson on how to use eRead Illinois this week. Letters will be coming home with children as they are introduced to eReadIL throughout the week. Please be sure to visit our informational site under the Parents tab devoted to e-books for more information. Students that signed up for a Bloomington Public Library Card through the district will receive their card during library this week. Please remember there a lot of amazing digital resources available to children with this card.
Fourth grade students will begin to learn basic spreadsheet software skills as we begin a class genre spreadsheet project this week. Students will create a data table complete with titles, learn to generate graphs based off of data tables, save the project, and eventually print their work.
Students will be taking their second SRI of the school year this week to determine their Lexile level for second quarter.
This week students will finish finding their books from their list. Once they have completed that, they are ready to take their Type to Learn 4 keyboarding pretest. Hour of Code:If students finish both activities they will have time to learn computer code in a fun way!
